Unused resources in Balochistan

It is really disheartening that despite having resources we lack the required facilities. The fact is we are desperately in need of our resources, but, unfortunately, they are not being utilised. This is because, amongst other reasons, Pakistan has a history of plundering the natural resources of Balochistan at the expense of the Baloch people’s economic rights. Sui gas is a great example of our deprivation.

Thar Desert has a wealth of black diamond, i.e. coal. If we utilise it, giving due rights to the local people, we can produce 50,000 megawatts of electricity. We can thus overcome the energy crisis. Instead of asking Iran, why do we not use our own property? I request the government to pull us out of this serious crisis by using our extraordinary resources.
