KARACHI, (SANA): Two hand grenades were found from Lyari Expressway near Hassan Square area on Thursday. According to police sources, bomb disposal squad was called as soon as the hand grenades were spotted while PIB area police also reached.
Lyari Expressway was also closed down for traffic after the police recovered two hand grenades from there.
According to police sources, the city’s Motorway Police, after seizing two hand grenades from Lyari Expressway, blocked the thoroughfare for traffic for fear of more explosive devices that could have been planted somewhere.
The two bombs remained on the track untouched for some time meanwhile the bomb disposal squad neutralized the grenades, the police source said.
