KARACHI – A complete strike was observed in Balochistan on Tuesday on the call of nationalist parties against the murder of Baloch Republican Party (BRP) leader Sana Sangat Baloch.
Sana Sangat Baloch had gone missing in 2010 and his bullet-riddled body carrying torture marks was recovered from the Murghab area of Turbat on Monday. He was laid to rest in the Kahadkoocha area of Mastung on Tuesday. His funeral was attended by hundreds of his supporters who vowed to continue their struggle against the oppression launched by the rulers.
Shops and markets remained closed while transporters also kept their vehicles off the road. The strike was more effective in Panjgour, Khuzdar, Sourab, Mastung, Qalat, Hub city, Gawadar, Noshki, Pasni and Jeevani areas.
