QUETTA: The Independence Day was celebrated in the Balochistan Assembly premises with traditional zeal and fervor on Tuesday. Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani hoisted National Flag on this occasion.
Provincial ministers including Mir Asim Kurd, Mir Shahnawaz Marri, Eng. Zamarak Piralizai, Sardar Aslam Bezinjo, Tahir Mehmood and Jaffar George and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. School children sang national songs. The provincial assembly premises was decorated with national flags and fancy lights.
A large number of citizens attended the flag hoisting ceremony at the assembly. The participants resolved their commitments to turn the motherland into a developed and prosperous country of the world. Earlier, the day was started with 21 guns salutes and special prayers were offered for the prosperity and stability of the country.
