Rigi’s case to be addressed carefully: Justice Minister

Posted on Monday, March 01, 2010 @ 07:55:57 EST by Jangan Baluch

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Minister of Justice Morteza Bakhtiari, vowed to carefully handle the case of Iran’s most wanted man, Abdolmalik Rigi, who was captured by Iranian security forces on February 23. Addressing a group of reporters on the sidelines of a domestic conference entitled “Innovation and Economic Justice” Bakhtiari said that Rigi’s arrest by the security forces came in a good time and it was a gift to the Iranian gov.

The Justice Minister stressed that the ministry will take its time to investigate the case in details.

Abdolmalek Rigi, the ringleader of the Jundallah group, which is based in Pakistan, was trapped by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry while he was flying from the UAE to Kyrgyzstan where he was scheduled to meet a top US official, as he confessed, in the US Air Base of Manas.

His group is responsible for several deadly attacks which targeted many high-ranking military officials, in the southeastern Province of Sistan-Baluchestan.
